Tire rant...Any recommendation for alignment shops in Cincinnati, OH? (m)
I've let my relatively new tires go to hell....11K miles on the BFGoodrich KDWS's and the right rear is way past the wear indicators, the left rear is bald on the outer edge, the two fronts are fine. I finally fixed the tire pressure and swapped front to rear. Now the car drives like it has a solid axle- hopping around and pulling itself up road irregularities. By the way, this is after the install of Bilstein shocks, Audi Eurosport springs, and 2 alignments, all of which I did last summer.
I've always heard putting 2 new tires (instead of all 4) is bad for quattro, but is it really? My current setup probably has that much of a difference.
Lesson learned: check tire pressure, rotate & inspect your tires!
