WTF?! No AM and weak FM! Getto stereo kit story continues...

<center><img src="http://users.adelphia.net/~waynetam/images/DSCN0013.JPG"></center><p>Just started testing radio today and found that I can't get any AM signals! With FMs some stations become weak. What could be wrong? I'm definitely taking my car back to the shop on my day off! I know they did charge me for a harness...doesn't it connect the stock Audi's radio signals to an aftermarket HU?

the Audi uses a powered antenna..most likely they didnt

put in the adaptor thats all

they are morons.....

they put SCREWS in your dash facing you and every car thief saying Steal me I'm easy just unscrew me here and here and you're done.

I'd be UBERpissed they did shoddy work, and you paid for it.

I have the same problem -- and even a powered antenna didnt help the FM -- any other suggestions?

weak Kenwood reception?

I also had a installed Kenwood in my '96 and I have the same issues, even after installing the adapter. Stereo installer said that some headunits just don't respond well to the powered antennas. Never tried a different one, so I don't know if that's fact. Doesn't really bother me, unless I want to listen to a ball game. Any other solutions would be helpful to me too, though.
