Can someone please show me pics of Aftermarket Radio in 96-97
Can someone show me pictures of a aftermarket radio installed in a 96 or 97 A4.
1. What is the best dash kit to buy
2. Do they make a wiring harness for the non-bose.
3. Have any of you tried to replace the factory speakers but keep the factory radio, how did it sound? Any improvment over stock?

Just a deck I had laying around, dash kit from Crutchfield, maybe wire harness from them too...

igozoom97a4 , I like the way your radio is inset in the dash kit. Are all the dashkits like this or just the crutchfield?

The dash kit I got was made by Scosche.
<center><img src="http://www.scosche.com/scosche/installation/kits/products/AU2300.gif"></center><p>The deck that I got had a trim piece that I was able to remove and use w/ the Scosche kit... Just happened to work out that way.
I triend putting my Rockford Fosgate deck in the audi and it totally didn't work because of the style of the deck. I would think that if there's a trim piece around the outside of the faceplate on the deck, that it'll come out looking like mine did...
I seem to remember that mine is what you call an "ISO" mount install.
