five cyl cam
I am looking for a good performance cam for mt 86 5cyl 2.2. Used would be great! All I have found are too pricey with limited availability. My Quantum wants more power.All suggestions welcome. help!

I have a Schrick in mine, very expensive.
By itself, I wouldn't expect remarkable changes. You are restricted by low compression, so-so valve size and a strangled exhaust system. These other areas need to be addressed for real gains.
Best mod-for-the-money is exhaust (4kq manifold & downpipe, 2.25" exhaust).

if you want bang for the buck...
go and find a 2.3 NG/NG engine
either out of an earlier 90 or 100
this will help out..
I got mine for free...
but it sure revs better to the redline now
the pull doesn't go away @ 5500 anymore
