Still working on my odo and speedo digital dash.
Well I tested the voltage agaian and this time I got voltage. This is good. But I only got 4 volts and not five. This is bad. That means it is brokenor more likely something is dirty. I am not sure what a 20% drop in voltage will do to the operation.
I still need to know if the Speedo goes out when the sensor is disconnected. Do this while you can cause eventually I may ask for volts and resistance points I want to test.
I drove the car It was fun. I bet the neighbors think I am a mexican driving around with no insurance when I am a white boy(european american ha ha!) driving through the neighborhood with no insurance.

If you have an 1986 or 87 gt pleasedo a comparison test for me.
Disconnect the harness plug from the speed sender on the speedsender that is located on the drivers side of the transmission. It is accessible from the engine compartment.
Turn your car on and see if the LCD works, not just the bulb lighting up but the display appearring.
Let me know if the screen goes out. I think it does but I do not want to guess. Thakns
