Prob with blitzsafe

i got my Sirius Audiovox hooked up into a blitzsafe adapter

the prob is it sounds like the signal from the satellite radio is too high ... so it sounds like my speakers are blown or something

basically the signal is too high .. and there is not adjustment that i see to turn down the "gains" or whatever for the adapter itself or the satelitte tuner

can anyone help ??

I had this problem with my blitzsafe adapter as well, but I'm using a Delphi Sky-Fi XM radio that has a level control for the line out. It's still a pain, because you have to keep the level very low in order to keep the blitzsafe adapter from overloading, which means there's a big volume difference between FM/CD and the XM.

Anyway, wouldn't wiring a resistor (not sure how strong you'd need) between your Audiovox unit and the Blitzsafe adapter resolve/help the problem?

i had same problem, but with XM. build my own custom solution

<center><img src="http://www.vzavenue.net/~sohcrates/pots.jpg"></center><p>it's an inline stereo volume control. basically just two potentiometers and a bunch of wires and connectors in a radio shack box. total cost around $20.

basically, you turn the pot ***** to raise or lower the level so it doesn't distort
