Default What would you do, big front mount or dual stock intercoolers?

Im debating between the two, would dual give me equal or better than a front mount? Because it would only cost a couple more hundred, and id pay a little bit more if im already paying that much for the intercoolers, thanks

Default It depends on who you want to believe....

Some people claim a single front mount is better, however if it is too big it might cost you in performance. It as to be the right size.
Some people claim a dual set up is better for their reasons. I have been looking for a solution to this problem myself for a while and I am more confused then ever. One thing is for sure a single front mount of good quality is more expensive then buying the second intercooler with all its plumbing. The good front mounts go for $1100.00+ and Greedspeed is selling the dual intercooler kit with everything included for $650.00.

Default Yeah thats pretty much where i was hung up on... Im leaning towards the dual set up right now..

I was also thinking about getting Nitrous and hooking it up so i can spray my intercooler, but if i get dual, would that even help? Thanks

Default Dual Setup

Maybe its because its audi parts & they're using it on the A4 overseas. Or maybe i like it cuz its more subtle than a big intercooler in opening of the front bumper. Thats probably cuz my last car was stolen & i don't want attention drawn to my car

Default i found a FM for 900, I'll pay the extra 250 over a dual cause the single has beter flow

characteristics and the factory have higher pressure drop, so duals would cool more but youd lose some PSI, where as a good FMIC will flow nicely and not have the pressure drop. also duals have more piping, which COULD result in more lag and pressure drop. I looked at both and when we couldn't touch a FMIC kit for under 1200 a couple months ago , i was thinking the dual, which can probably be had for even less then 650 with piping. I also hoped forge motorsports would release an upgraded replace ment like they have for golfs. But now since 8vturbo.com has a whole FMIC kit for 900, i'm there
