Paging BASEL, Installing S4 E-codes tommorrow, any helpful hints?
Basel -
I am installing the S4 E-codes tommorrow. I know there are a couple of tricks to the install, can you provide any helpful hints? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks alot

helpful hints...
i take it you know how to remove yer lights...
if not all you need is a torx t30 bit - i say use a ratchet and not a screwdriver just beacuse it gives you more torque...
the headlights pop up with a simple push of the harness with a flat head.
removing the ballast is fairly straight forward, again requiring a torx driver either a t10 or t15
(if you dont have a set of torx screwdriver it would be good in general just to get some)
the only major hassle is the harness from your housing to the ballast.
on the s4 it has a 4 prong harness
on yer stock in has a 10 prong harness.
now what others have done is to carefully pull out the pins from each of the harnesses.
instead...what i did was to simply cut and crimp...
black to black
red to red
it does in effect ruin yer stock housing for future use, but if you swapped out the harness, you still would have a 4 pin harness on yer old lights...my old housing are sitting in my closet..
anyways other than that it straight forward
if you run into problems - lemme know...
i dont have any problem in pulliny my lights out to show you what i did if need be...
oh btw...you might need te reallign yer lights..mine were pointing to the sky...
not good when yer high beaming everyone and you have non DOT approved / illegal" housings
