If i swapped in another ECU from an identical car, same year and specs... would it work?

If i swapped in another ECU from an identical car, same year and specs... would it work?

The reason for asking is that when i go to dyno on sept 13th, id like to try different chip manufacturers, so if it does work, anyone wanna donate their ECU for a day? :-)

not unless you know how to clone the ECU

Not that I really know what I'm talking about.. but that link says it no workie for 02+ cars...

Has anyone confirmed that the linked procedure actually works?

The latest Beta version of VAG-COM supports that::
