T/F - serial port programming eliminates your TRUE OEM stock programming
I was searching and surfing various VW/Audi sites and was wondering if this statement is true/false. Many were complaining about having lower power in stock mode after REVO and APR trial software. My understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong, is that each company's port programming leaves a "stock" mode that is based on an OEM code, but may not be the most updated code. Therefore there might be performance issues if the code has been updated?! If this is the case, AND if neither company's chip can be reflashed, does this leave one with an "inferior" stock programming? Not trying to stir things up, just trying to get more info before doing the deed myself ;-)

Depends on your definition of TRUE OEM stock programming
The appearance (Hex Code) of your Stock programming will be different due to encryption.
The output is still the same.
