OK, no consensus on exhaust. Which is best-value-for money? Thermal?

lol. There never will be. It's too subjective.
You have; price, noise/sound levels, fitment, build quality, performance/flow, pipe dia., tips, finish,...etc. to consider when choosing one. Try narrowing it down to ones that fit your budget first. Then if you want all out performance or not,.. etc, etc.
But yes, in some ways, the Thermal Race is a good performance exhaust for the cost. Now whether I like it or not for other reasons is something else.

Unless someone has installed them all, how is anybody qualified to judge?
They can only tell you if they like what they have, and even then people tend to justify their purchases regardless of how they really feel about it (unless its really bad)
