On my way to pick up my new Ipod. Going to try and make a hardwire template tonight
I need to pick up an adapter to hard wire it, but going to try to do the actual install before I have the adapter.
Going to attempt to put both the ipod and my cell phone in the armrests. Both will be hardwired (the cell only to charge..). I usually just leave my cell phone in the little slot next to the cig lighter, which I use to charge the phone, so I need to find a way to actually hardwire the charger.
I am going to try two ways to install: A styrofoam type block which I will exacto out to make inlays for both the cell and the ipod. I'll then cover the styrofoam in a cloth to make it look cleaner.
If that doesn't work (I am having trouble thinking of ways to secure the cloth into the crevices of the styrofoam, other than super glue) I will use regular foam and make inlays for both phone and ipod. I will then paint the foam (basically stoled this idea from another AWer).
Ill take pics as I work on it, and try and do a short write up. I'm sure I'll fvck it up several times as I am not very good with my hands..but I'll do what I can.
