Have fun with Haakapelitta's (sp)
I always thought Nokian made the best snow tires out there, so I bought a set for my then-new '98 A4 Avant (195/65X15). Well, car was sliding around all over the place - snow traction was awful. FAR worse that the Coupe Quattro I had before the Avant; I had Gislaved Norfrost snows in 185/70X15 on it and the car was an absolute mountain goat (once climbed a steeep hill that was coated with 10+" of unplowed snow).
I lived with the Nokians and poor grip on the A4 for a few years, then decided to swich snows to Bridgestone Blizzaks. Snow traction was far better than the Nokians.
Little food for thought.
