Front left turn signal went out yesterday. Stopped and popped the hood...
AFAIK the bulb looks ok to me. Looks like a real bitch to replace. I assume the bulb isn't covered by warranty.
Should I take it into the dealer, or try to replace it myself?
He said that happens alot with the B6 and that it's usually just a bad connection.
Figured out what to do:
The bulb lives in this little barrel-shaped housing. It has three metal contacts that match to 3 metal tabs in the assembly.
I used a small screwdriver (a pick would have been better) to bend the tabs in the headlamp assembly up a bit so they'd "grab" the barrel-shaped bulb housing better.
Problem solved.
I had the headlight out but plugged in and found the bulb would go out if I wiggled the housing.
