Name this part please
Here we go....
looking at the front right of the engine bay if standing in front of car:
Clues:
-the part is to the left of the steering fuild filler cap
-take off the plastic cover that surrounds the power steering fuild cap and you can see the piece in question
-it's a shiny cylindrical piece (almost keg like in design)
-it has it's own little bracket space
-it has one bigger sized vac line running to the intake manifold and a electrical plug line running up under the coolant tank and into the firewall i think.
I noticed on my 2002 a4 1.8t that this part is missing and the manifold line that would run to the part is plugged but on the new passat 1.8t i drove today the part is present.
Any help as to what this thing is or what it does would be appreciated. i'm thinking maybe i don't have it b/c mine is a manual quattro and the passat i drove is auto/triptronic FWD. thanx -mason-
