Drove a new Boxster S today

and I must say, that is one fun car to drive. it was a new car (~150 mi on the odometer) and i was just driving around the neighborhood, so i didn't really get going too fast, but its just such a blast - the steering is really direct, the engine has tons of torque, and it all feels really direct and connected to the road without being harsh or uncomfortable. I was actually surprised at how 'civilized' the ride was. It was rougher than my A4, but not by a lot. Overall, I love it.

I friend had a 99 or 00 boxter (non-S) and he let me drive it once on the highway. I thought it was a great car. The new version looks even better, so I can only imagine.

yeah....no it really is unbelievable...someday i'd like to have a car like it

but being a full time student sorta precludes that (for now at least)

on the plus side, however, the one i drove was my dad's - he just got it and is willing to let me drive it if he's riding along....so i have something else to look forward to for the next few days while i'm home from school.
