Default Is your card toasted? If not, you could pull jumper #1 off your mainboard, turn on the PC for 5 secs

and then put the jumper back in place. This could help to reset your mainboard to basic settings, if so, go into the BIOS and check the AGP settings for your card. Some Boards offer the memory size/Bus speed, this should match with your card, otherwise a wrong set on the AGP Bus could lead to trouble.

So try to reset the board first. The Jumper settings are in the board manual, inclusive the reset procedures.

Good luck!

Default Most new video cards (99% sure that one too) require an extra power connector to be plugged in

The PC will run ok, but some features of the card may be disabled until the extra power connector is hooked up. It sounds like your conenctor was never plugged in or has become loose. Here is what I would do:

1.) Open up the computer case
2.) Look at the power connector going into your CD drive. It is a white connector with a set of 4 thick cables (yellow, black, black, red)
3.) Look for a receptacle on the video card that looks like it can fit one of these connectors.
4.) If you find this on the video card, locate an unused power connector and plug it in

This should fix you right up. If not, then find your nearest computer geek and have them inspect it.

Cheers!

Default Since a picture is worth a thousand words...

This is what the power connector would look like on the video card:

And the loose power connector you are looking two plug into that would look like one of the two bottom conenctors:

Hope this helps!
