street parking in B'klyn

I'm sure that nobody thinks that it a good idea but what are people's experiance in Brooklyn (Park Slope)?

Anyone know of some good pay spots? I've been looking at Craig's list and thinking about renting a driveway or garage space. Anyone know of some good spots?

Most of all, I really don't want my car broken into.

I've parked my car in Carroll Gardens a couple times - nothing happened .. it is all luck...

as i've parked my S4 in Newark and Jersey City a few times and nothing happened.

Park Slope is one of the nicests areas in bkln

but like Mark said... its all luck.

At least in Park Slope they have more of a selection of nice stuff to choose from.

Bigger problem is dealing with idiots bumping into you b/c nearly all parking is parallel...

its hard to find a car in brooklyn without scrapes on the bumpers no matter what the make and what the cost imho...sometimes when there I feel people just don't care even about their 100k SL etc.

If you can find a good lot go for it, otherwise...

In the long run, its better to just have your damn bumpers painted every year. City parking sucks no matter what you do and you're gonna get dinged.

They sell protection for bumpers if you want to look into that for parking in the city, but I wouldnt be worried about being broken into your car. If they wanna break in, doesnt matter where you park it, they'll get to it.
