NYC Hotels: I'll be staying in NYC for the next cple mnths, working in mid-town. Recommendations?
Something in the $300/night range.
I typically stay at the SoHo Grand when in NYC, but rates during the fall are ridiculous.

Most hotels in NYC give 20~40% off if you stay more than 30 days..
and with $4000+/month budget ,you can find urself a very nice furnished service apt in midtown.
If you plan to stay at least 3 month ,I would check www.thesublet.com or short-term lease on craiglist for more economical alternative(2500~3500/month for furnished apt)

I'd stay at the Marriot in Midtown if I wasn't paying for it. That way, at least with
a major hotel name, you'll get the amenities that you'll need for such a long stay. Plus, they have parking which is key.

Think I am going to do one of the starwoods in Midtown
I hear the Westin is pretty new and has decently sized rooms for NYC atleast. The W hotels are nice, I've stayed at the one on Lexington before, but the rooms are so small. When paying ~$300-400/night I atleast want a little bit of space between the bed and the bathroom.
Did the Hilton this week, not a big fan. Need to give the starwood folks a ring.
