Is anyone on here involved in logistics or supply chain management?
I am trying to explore internship avenues. I haven't had much luck in the automotive industry thus far, so I want to broaden my search.

around here you can look at shipping (as in boats), train freight, or trucking. Most of the trucking though is moving out of here or just being outsourced to trucking companies instead of being handled in house by manufacturers.
In CT there's a lot of tanker shipping companies but we also have bf goodrich, pepperidge farms, and a couple of large machinery manufacturers. Kraft, GE, IBM and the others dont really have anything here that would be of help to you. Its a tough business to be in on the east coast and tends to be more midwestern or southern where the large warehouses, farms, and trucking people are.
