Excessive Price for key?

Excessive Price for key?

$275 for one switchblade key programmed. Sorry but could someone help me out? $120 to program key. They say its one hour of service. But isnt it simply vag-com. I cant see an hour worth of work there.

Wondering if someone here could hook me up with an uncut Key or Vallet key...

Without breaking the bank. I need to get this done tomorrow. I dont believe service is open on Sunday.

I think its supposed to be a half-hour of labor, but yeah, sadly there's no way to avoid that

Its not simply VAG-COM and the dealer has to do it.

Well the dealer can give you the password

So that you can do the VAG-COM yourself if you have it. The blank key itself is around $120 anyway. I tried to look everywhere when I lost one of the keys, but it turns out dealer is your best bet. Even if you find some independent shop to do it, its not going to be much cheaper. Good luck.
