For those of you who have/had the sunroof rattle

How did you, or are you planning on fixing it? The easy solution is to take it to the dealer, but some of us don't have that option.

I wanted to know if any of you fix-it-up type guys took care of the rattle yourselves.

Why is taking it to the dealer not an option?

Just relube it all. That's what the dealer does, I'm sure you can do it too.

U.S. military overseas and they charge outrageous prices just to stop by here.

I'm guessing just use

some silicone or graphite base lube and hit just about everything that moves?

Mine rattles only when the sun shade is fully retracted.

If I leave the sun roof 1 click from fully open, the shade is supported by the edge of the opening and no rattle.

I'll have to give that a try, hopefully it doesn't protrude too far into the space.
