92 S4 braking woes

92 S4 braking woes
Hello
This car, which I normally love, has annoyed me to no end, it is eating left rear calipers, and rotors. At one time I had the BIRA fronts on, figured that might be contributing, so I removed them. 3 months later, the NEW left rear caliper is corroded, and not releasing back pressure again. I am not particularly impressed with tossing $500 a shot at the back end of this car, would prefer to find out what might be causing the restriction...
ANY thoughts would be welcomed!

Can solid rear rotors on B5A4 be replaced by same-diameter vented rotors, or will the caliper not...
