Handbrake woes. Force on rear right wheel is real weak even after replacing w/ new S4 caliper!
To cut a long story short, I "upgraded" to rear S4 calipers, brackets and rotors. First I bought used S4 calipers at Aumiller's through CarParts.com. Seeing that the right caliper was not performing properly and that it had been badly hammered, I replaced it with a new unit but handbrake force on that wheel is still really weak to the point I cannot even get a very worn tyre to block on the wet.
When the rear brakes were stock the handbrake worked like a charm on both sides, so it's difficult to think that the right cable might have become too loose.
Is there anything else I should try apart from having the handbrake cable tightened? And is there any particular procedure to do so?
Thank you in advance.

Other than, why fix something that's not broken, what happens when the tire is in the air..
and you pull on the parking brake lever on the caliper? Are you SURE that the handbrake mechanism inside is ratcheted out? It sometimes takes a few good pulls of the handle to get good feel on the handbrake.
