Can you really do a manual TBA...?
i saw something on Audizine today about manually resetting your throttle body alignment...
put key in, turn to on position
hold pedal to floor for 5 seconds
turn key off, leave in ignition
take foot off pedal
wait 2 minutes and remove key
so is this for real, and what is actually happening...?

Works for me....
I put gas pedal to floor, turn key to on (w/o starting) and hold for 5 sec., turn key off and then remove foot from accelerator.
Seems to improve shifting to a much smoother state. There is some noticeable increase in acceleration as well but it is not consistent enough to measure.

Also works for me...
shifting is now very smooth, especially from 1st to 2nd where the car used to lurch 70% of the time despite all my efforts. Now it never lurches. Power delivery is also very linear and predictable. The improvement is so noticeable that I am sure it cannot be a "placebo" effect.
Anyway, I'd be interested in a poll. Please try it out, and tell us your build date and if you feel or do not feel a difference. Mine is April 04 build

works for me, but i have never had to turn the car off and wait the 2minutes,....
i sat and watched the values change at the audi dealer as the tech did what i described in an earlier post. JD and i differ on wehter this works though.
