sloppy B&M shifter
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/83125/slop.jpg"></center><p>after having my b&m shifter in the car for about a year, i've developed some slop in the ball pivot that is really bothering me (about 2-3mm in every direction... looks almost like the sleeve surrounding the ball has compressed over time)
as a last resort, a friend of mine has an overhead cnc router, and can make me an aluminum ball of a slightly larger diameter... but does anybody have a simpler solution?

Egads...the B & M...
I've had the B & M in my A4 for the last year -- and it does get sloppier with age. Frankly, I think B & M rushed this shifter to the market.
