Is it normal in cold weather for the middle bit of my instrument display to be faded?

Is it normal in cold weather for the middle bit of my instrument display to be faded?

It gets brighter after ten minutes or so. I noticed this since the temp dropped - Any ideas?

It's in the 20-low 30's here and I haven't noticed anything like that

yea i get the same thing, it was 19 today, and even at say 20-30 it is bit faded

Me too. This might be normal behavior of an LCD panel when cold.

I'll have to take my laptop out to the garage for awhile and see if it loses brightness to test the theory out.
But I'll be curious what your dealer says...

Same thing here. It's been "cold" in Miami this week...

It's only been in the mid 50's in the mornings, but the display is noticably faded. It brightens back up after a while though.

Odd.
