Look what I found... (DVD Nav in B6)
I was looking around on a German site to buy used cars and found a B6 S4 with the DVD Nav system... I wish I could figure out who put it in there and talk with them!

Navigation in Europe is not the same as USA
I believe that the DVD nav system was available (since 2003) in other markets. Only the United States/Canada market is first getting the Navigation system. Also on the Europe system, you can also get television reception while now on the A4 (B7 Platform) we in the USA get the SD memory card slots.

Correct, but...
The DVD system in Germany IS new and it does offer TV reception as an option as well as the standard SD card slots. Europe has had the CD based Nav system (with TV reception) for many years but the DVD system is new, arriving on the A4/S4 line with the B7. DVD based systems were not around previously.
Anyway, It is NOT normal, even in Europe, to have a DVD based system in a B6. I live in Germany and I have asked my dealer about the possibility of putting the DVD based system in my B6 and was told it was not a simple swap like the old system. I think that this has been proven by several folks in the US also. This is why I am interested in this B6 with DVD nav.

Check this thread in the audio forum, people have installed them already in B6's

Someone here in chicago is working on DVD nav in the B6 (and I have it in my 05.5 Cab B6 S4)
