Default Does Audi limit power in 1st grear?

It seems that 1st gear is a little weak, but 2nd, 3rd + all seem to be great.

Anyone else feel this?

Default I'm pretty sure you're right...........

The other day, I pulled the fuse (#7 I think) which turns off ESP, ABS etc. and which removes the DBW throttle "filtering" effect. The throttle unfiltered gives way too brutal a response, so I put the fuse back in again. However, on two acceleration runs from 0-80mph with the fuse out, compared back to back with two more with it in, the biggest difference (seat of the pants) seemed to be the accelration in first gear. The throttle does not seem to be wide open with the fuse in until second gear. Perhaps someone with a VAG can prove this?

Default Yes, you feel the EDL

You are feeling the EDL. The EDL system is active until 50mph. EDL pulses your brakes for you to avoid having wheelspin in the event that you lauch the car too hard. It is useful on ice and snow, but sure wish it would turn itself off when it is warn out. I'm pretty sure there no useful reason to pulse the brakes on dry pavement when I have the gas pedal on the floor. But that is EDL, and nobody has posted a perfect way of overriding it so far. The only idea I have heard so far was to yank one of the fuses, but that messes up the dynamic steering pump stuff, too.
