"easy" way to clean off brake dust on wheel lip??

If regular car shampoo with a wash mitt doesn't get off the dust....
The only thing that will get the dust off without damaging the rim is clay. Clay is pretty easy, but not really easy, to get the hang of. After using the clay, a nice metal polish on the lip will make it new again -- maybe Wenol Blue would be best.
I read your FS post - I still don't get why you're selling the rims. They're absolutely beautiful. At your asking price, I'd buy them. If I didn't already have a set of DPEs that is. :-)
