'Service' at 19,800 miles?

Default 'Service' at 19,800 miles?
The service indicator comes on at start - I thought next service was 25K. Does this mean the car is asking for something? TIA

Default could be you've hit a "time interval" since last service
how long ago was your last one?

The service warning on earlier cars came on at 5000, then 10000 instead of 15000, and presumably again at 20,000. I had a warning for 5000 miles since I was too lazy to take it to the dealer. Could be yours wasn't reset correctly at your 15K?

I have an earlier car. It did go off at 10k and I dutifully made an appt and took it in. Got there and they told me service wan't until 15k. Gee thanks for not telling me this when I made the appt. Took it bak in at 15k and they still don't have it set right.

25k? 5k, 10k, 20k, 30k... are the intervals IIRC.

Hey Don. It's actually 5k, 15k, 25k, etc. However, I do every 5k as do many others here.

Mine was on at 9500 miles, and is on again at 19800 miles. The techs apparently can't read.
