Snow chain laws?
Does anyone know the current state of play with regard to snow chains and AWD cars in Victoria?
I'd heard that Victoria - The Nanny State - was toying with classifying AWD cars as 2WD's from a legal perspective. The upshot of which would be that when we pass a sign that says "No entry unless chains fitted - Engaged 4WD excepted", we quattro drivers would have to pull over and fit the buggers where as in the past we'd just cruise on by and wave.
So, has anyone heard anything?
As Jimmy Buffet once sang "the weather is here, I wish you were beautiful".
Wayne
Perth - home of the newly announced desalination plant because it doesnt even rain let alone snow.
The irony is that it's probably less safe with chains on than without in the case of the quattro....
