Lock nuts people - throw me a bone...
Ok i'm talking to people with aftermaket rims here who have had to buy longer wheel bolts as the standard Audi wheel bolts no longer fit.
Who makes the best?
Who makes the best bang for your buck?
Which brand will slow the crocks down?
Which brand looks good (read: stealth) yet works?
Audi apparrently do not make longer wheel bolts for the A4 as all there wheels fit with standard bolts.
Is it just me or are audi the most non co-operative people on the planet when you need non standard bits and jimmys.
Yes i know if somebody wants something they will take it no matter what you do, but there is no harm in making it as difficult as possible for them along the way.
Yes i also know how easy it is to hammer a socket over a locknut and remove the protection device - my mech did it for me once when some A#sHo*e smashed my window to steal seat covers, etc.

My Oz Wheels came with bolts - but not lock nuts.
I havent bothered with lock nuts.
a, I try not to park where I think I might get rolled and
b, As you correctly point out they dont slow the crooks down anyway.
