Forgot to mention, I had to claybar my poor 6-month old B7 S4 last weekend...
A few weeks ago, I come out to the parking lot as I'm leaving for lunch, and some dude is WELDING like 2 ft. away from my car (apparently installing a security gate around the lot)...sparks flying precariously close to the car, though I didn't physically see anything hit it. I looked it over and didn't really see anything, so just forgot about it.
Fast forward to this past Saturday. I wash the car normally, but when I'm drying it I notice tiny white fallout ALL OVER the car...windows and all. ****! So, to make a long story short, I spent about 6 hours claybar-ing and re-waxing the entire car. I'd post pics, but I can lift my arms up to hold the camera.

yeah it was the combination of the two...
...and I even used a random orbital buffer to remove most of the wax before final buffing by hand.
The stuff was not easy to get off with the claybar, though....I had to make several passes over each area to get the job done. Probably wouldn't even have noticed on a silver or gray car, but with BBlack...gah.
All is well now, though.

Well thats good...
my favorite is to clay bar when its like 60-65 out. I use a hose that had a Mr. Clean Auto Dry like device on it which outputs nice and soapy water. I did this to clean my old A4 after my mom drove it in a construction zone where they were re-lining.

hmm, interesting.
I've been using Mother's Claybar kit...comes with clay (duh), some sort of lubricant spray (I think it's just their quick detailing spray), and a little bottle of cleaner wax (trash). I've used it on my last 3 cars w/o any issues.
