Head Unit Removal Keys

Tried using the keys to pull my head unit out today to install my new Dension icelink but the keys would just pop right out and my head unit wouldnt budge. What can I do because I'd really like to get my icelink up and running before my 4 hour road trip tomorrow.

When pulling on the keys...

I had to apply force on the keys inwardly while pulling out slowly, or was it outwardly, I can't remember. Otherwise if you just pull on the keys slowly, it'll slip right out as what's happening now.

tried that, didn't work, also tried pulling via the tape deck, that didnt work either.

HOw many keys you have? I did two at a time, one side then the other.

The tape deck is usually the only way, the keys just ...

unlock the thing basically. You could have one side out a little and wedged the thing. Put the keys in and push the radio back in all the way. Try 2 keys on one side at a time, just till it moves, then other side. Also you can just keep yanking on the keys and they'll keep popping out, and eventually come out.
