Will b6 XM unit fit b7??

Anyone know if b6's xm unit is interchangable with b7? will my car need a recode or dealer software?

If you don't have the Navigation Plus it should fit.

why the difference?

the tuner unit itself would go in the trunk...is the connector different?

The firmware / CAN protocol is different

The old SAT receiver won't work with the new RNS-E but the new receiver plays fine with both the Symphony/Concert as well as RNS-E Navigation Plus. Same if you have the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, requires the new SAT receiver as well.

ahh...good to know

not planning on integrating RNS-E right now, but the thoughts were there for down the road...thanks for the heads up!
