2000 A4 Turbo Timer
I've installed the HKS type 0 timer on my roommates 2000 A4 quattro. I've done several of these but never on this car. I know I have it hooked up correctly. The timer still counts down after shutting off the car, but the car won't stay running, I tested the output of the timer and it is still sending power to the engine ignition so it should be running. Is there a trick to this on audi's because of those funky keys or something? am I missing a bypass with the security system that still kills the motor?

The car will stay running if you find the right wire. (i attempted to install the timer on my car, and did get it to stay running).
Unfortunately, i hate the fact that you can't arm the car with a remote while it's running, so i disabled the timer for now until i can get past that.
If you turn off the car and pull out the key really quickly, does it work? For my quick attempt, the signal wire that i'm using seems to shut off after the engine one shuts off, so i need to pull out the key quick enough(to get them to loose power at about the same time) so the timer gets the signal in time to keep the car running.
Like I said, it's a quick attempt, so I will need to dig on the wiring diagram a bit more to get this to work properly.

I've got it installed correctly as far as the power in and power out goes. I've done several of these before with no problems but only on different cars. The owner took it to the local shop here and they looked at it and said it should be working. They also spent some time on the phone with HKS and still couldn't come up with a reason for whats going on. He has an appointment at a local shop that specializes in german cars on tomorrow. I might take a minute and try the fast approach like you said. I might also trying hooking the remote wire around to a few different places. But this worries me because of what the audi manual calls a closed circuit computer system that is apparently easy to fry. I was wondering if this is just a scare tactic from audi or if I shouldn't try this?
