Help - anyone explain how to figure out when car built?

I tried to figure it out from the label pasted inside he front cover of my owners manual (it conatins all kinds of paint codes,engine types, etc. - these I "get"). The line that is telling me when the car was built confuses me (duh???)- I cannot understand the sequence of the numbers, there are "6"'s "06"'s and none if it looks like day, month, year to me, etc. Help!

I asked that question Monday.

The dealer on the Canadian Group pointed me to the metal plate on the drivers door sill, it says "Made In Germany 05 05" meaning it was built in May 2005.
