Audi of Huntington- worst dealership ever
Picked up the car 12/27 with a NY in transit tag, until the plate transfer is finalized. Discovered a 6mm crack in the windshield which they claimed they never noticed. They agreed to pay for the replacement, no big deal just some inconvenience of time.
Checked the oil which was a bit low so I took it to my local Audi dealership for and oil change. Car has 36,320 on the clock. My local Audi informs me that the 35,000 mile service was never done. I guess thats OK since I have free mainteinance to 50K.
I get a call 1 week after delivery from Audi of Huntington that they cannot transfer my plates because the car needs Maryland used car inspection. OK no big deal I can do the transfer myself. Oh Nooo
Audi of Huntington insist that the car can only be registered by them. They want me to obtain the Maryland inspection then send it to them so they can then transfer my plates. I am currently in NJ for 1 month. Obtaining inspection would require a 200 mile drive to an inspection station which happens to be 5 mins from a Maryland MVA at which I can pay $45 and transfer the plates myself.
Audi of Huntington insist that because my car is financed by Audi finacial they cannot issue me a title. Not true since my 2001 A6 is financed by Audi financial and I got the title and registered it myself.
As it stands now, on 1/27 when my intransit tag expires I'll be paying for a car that I cannot drive. To get it registered I need the title, a refund of $1125 Maryland sales tax they collected and if I'm lucky the $200 to transfer my plates which they could not do.
THIS IS MY WORST EVER CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE.
Any advice on what I should do now will be greatly appreciated, thanks NemoMD.
