Stuck driving FORD while AUDI in for service.....
ggggggaaaaaaaaahhhhh.... bah.... arg... boooo!!! God I can't stand it, stupid expedition. I pray to God I get my car back today. It went in for the CEL (DV replacement) and also a squeak developed somewhere in the engine... and hopefully it will finally be looked at by an AoA rep regarding an paint issue... but I just want out of the Ford... haha

My issue in not picking up on "Expedition" vs. "expedition" has to do with the way language is so loosely used these days. I went right over the lower case "expedition" not thinking it was a model designation since (I beleive) the convention is for formal names to have the initial letter capitalized as in "Epedition." Changing times I guess.

PAINT DEFECT... Screw you AoA... Yay for the dealership!
<center><img src="http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/2565/img8615smallyf6.jpg"></center><p>Basically the issue is that something is causing the paint to bubble (small bubbles) in an area about 3 inches long by about the width of a pencil.
This is the best picture I could get. It's a pain because you don't see it at all when looking strait at it, it can only be seen at some angles and with certain light (that's why I didn't notice it for so long), but you can always feel it if you run your hand over it.
Basically it looks like a run mark, but the clearcoat and paint look fine. Basically small bubbles in a line, seems like something underneath is pushing the paint up.
The AoA rep came out and said that body work had been done and it would not be covered under warranty. The body work he was refering to is the RS4 grill, which has absolutely nothing to do with the passenger side fender. He also mentioned that I changed the lights, but as of now I have only changed the bulbs... which also would not affect the warranty of the paint.
Well luckily the dealership decided they would cover it.
It is just very unfortunate that AoA shifts the burden to the dealership when it is a factory issue like paint. BOOOO for Audi of America.. POS customer service.
