anyone else get an "exclusive invitation" to participate in an all-wheel drive research event?
You are in a round table with other participants and a moderator who directs questions at the panel. They videotape the session too. It was a legitimate market research study and it wasn't obvious if it was paid for by a specific automaker. There is no sales effort involved at all. I would do one again if they contact me.
Last year they did a phone survey with me (they guy litterally told me the "right" answers...a huge no-no for research firms). After the survey I was invited to a 2-hour research event for Peugeot...It was conducted by TNS (a huge global research company). Basically there were 5 cars and we drove each one around a pre-determined loop on public roads. I drove a Peugeot wagon, Mazda 5, Passat wagon and two others which are escaping me. Durning each drive a researcherAfterwards, you'll be invited to attend another session that night for more $$.
Over all, a fun but not exhilerating experience. If you have no other plans, it is a fun way to spend some time.
