Default clutch slipping only on take off

clutch on 2.7t seems to be slipping only at take off but not when under torque when getting on it in any of the gears like a clutch would usually be slipping when shot. deffinate smell when car is sitting as is before driving or after. any ideas?

My only thought is from takeoff is still the highest torque load, since the car isn't moving. It's only a matter of time before you notice it in other situations as well. Better plan on buying a clutch soon. The smell is most likely your smoking disc.
That's my 2 cents.

I agree but with the 2.7 there is probably more torque on the clutch available at about 3 to 4k rpm in 6th gear when accelerating than at take-off.

To test it a slight dip of the pedal when on a slight incline accelerating in 6th will probably produce a fair amount of slip. One word of warning thoigh, I would risk doing that unless you are ready to change it very soon as it will make it considerably worse in no time at all!
