CV axle
it started with an oil change at the dealership, they find CV boot has a tear, so we order new one, but while replacing it the tech damages the end of the CV axle (where 'teeth' are) and can't fit it back in place! car still at dealership he's trying to fix it.
Anyone had that issue before? Should we just order a new one?

how the f*ck did they damage it?
I did it myself (not a mechanic by far) at the automechanics class my local high school offers. Other than the somewhat special tool to put the band back on, the job was realatively easy.
Since it was obviously intact when they took it out.. the burden is on them to fix/replace it.
