Anyone with KONIs on the A6?
Are you happy with them?
Can you adjust the rear shocks when they are mounted on the car (I know that in some applications this is not possible)?
I don't have enough miles on them to say with certainty but at first blush the setup is more real-world comfortable than my Bilstein Sport + H&R spring combo on my old B5 in city driving with crack and pot-holed roads.
I have them adjusted one full turn from the softest setting...most people go 3/4 to 1 turn out of a total of 2 1/5 turns. Once they are installed, they are not adjustable. You need to pull the entire setup, compress and remove the spring.
It's very sad that you can't adjust them once installed on the car. I guess the shock tops are not visible when the shocks are installed.
I have KONIs on my miata and I absolutely love that I can change the handling characteristics of the car by dialing different stiffness at the front/rear.

What about the front ones the shock top should be visible at the top - so adjustment should be possible... right? Anyone tried to adjust them?
Only problem is they're tough if not impossible to remove once installed and sitting in there for a year or so.
Have to cut off the rod.
The only issue I had was the right rear upper shock mount failed and caused a bumping/knocking that took maybe six months to identify...i.e., to get bad enough to ensure I was going to take the time to remove the RR shock!!
BTW...the upper shock mount is OEM only, no aftermarket available for 2K 4.2A6. Special order, took a week, maybe $105 each.
I bought two...I have to do the LR when I replace the OEM springs with Vogtland.
Coming from a B5 platform with H&R springs & Bilstein sports the Koni/Eibach setup is more than compliant enough. And the drop is a decent compromise since our Avant has to hauling stuff for home rebab.

In my opinion, the Koni's are a bit too stiff at or near full, which is how I started off - stiff enough where everything not bolted or fixed down was rattling.
I had a lot better results adjusting to a turn or less above the softest setting.
The Eibach's are terrible - very soggy, the car pitches and rolls extensively, despite having good transient response and the feeling of 'tightness' when driving straight (attributed to the better shocks).
Most everyone with Vogtlands or H&R's are satisfied with the Koni combo.
As everyone says, they do not adjust without first coming out of the car.
