Help! I'm always bottoming out!

I've got a wagon to start. I know its supposed to be slow and get bad gas mileage but I didn't know it was supposed to bottom out so much!

I drive fast everywhere and don't like to slow down to a crawl for speed bumps. Thats part of the problem. The other problem is that this car is really low stock.

No I'm not looking to raise the car. I just looking to stiffen up the whole suspension. Sporty but not lowered....is that possible?

In my old vw Rabbit I bought H&R OE Sports. Is there an option like that here?

H&R makes springs.. I think they are adjustable. Check out PureMS, or H&R directly. Watch out, I bottomed out and bent my oil pan and it was leaking oil. Audi puts the oil pan in the perfect position to smash it on something. I am way careful now.. Mine is lowered and ya its bad.

Thanks. Thats why I'm really hoping to avoid lowering. Its too low as it is now.

I am unfortunatley cheap so I won't be shelling out the cash for coilovers.

sorry, no mod is going to correct your apparent inability to drive correctly. It's a wagon, not an SUV.

Agree. All cars will probably bottom out if the driver fails to slow down. THat's why the speed bumps are there!!!

Although speed bumps are very effective in keeping vehicle speed down, their use is sometimes controversial as they can cause noise and possibly vehicle damage if taken at too great a speed. Poorly designed speed bumps often found in private car parks (too tall, too sharp an angle for the expected speed) can be hard to negotiate in vehicles with low ground clearance, such as sports cars, even at very slow speeds.
