Default need heat!!!!!! and its not the heater core

my heater core hoses are nice and hot in and out so i started looking inside ipulled out the sterio to find the blue mechanical arm broken on the bottom of the air box were the heater core is found .. im not sure which mechanical arm does what if any one knows or has a diagram of this crazy setup on which interlocking arm controls what? from what i could find out about this theirs like 6 lil motors and probably 20 interlocking interlocking arms that controls every function on the ac/heat control panel . so the major problem is that i need heat its below 0 here in new england so i need to now how to find the arm that switches the heat on and where to find it . their is heat when the car is warm but its only hot for a few seconds then fa des out thought it was the core flushed it out any way still the same proble m but alot hotter for those few seconds . i hope theres i simple way to swittch it manually to heat. checked for codes

Sounds like the flap that controls the flow of hot air to the cabin is stuck in the closed position. If you find a way to lock it in the open position you will get hot air but you will not be able to stop it either....I guess you can always close it up again when it gets warmer.

I will see if they have anything in the Bentley manual and will attempt to screenshot it later. Keep an eye on this thread out for updates.

ok thanks. just a lil more info the blue broken arm that snaped off i can turn by hand and all it does is switch back/forward defrost /vent nothing major but it must connect to something else that is not giving me heat the red arm behind the blue(broken)arm does not seem to want to do any thing i've tried every combo on the control panel and it just wont budge.

just figured i'd let you kno what i've tried,
also0o0 when the car is at running temps and heat off when i turn it on i get good heat for i few seconds when in higher rpms could it still be the core even after flushing it completly intill clean and easy to get water flow in and out ??
