annoying climate control button issue.

two of the buttons on the digital climate control display are incredibly sticky. Not that they have sticky stuff on the buttons, but rather they are difficult to press and like to stay depressed when they are pushed in. I know the electronics and coating on the buttons are very delicate, so is there anything you suggest as a remedy for this? Is there a good cleaner/cleaning method that will not damage the unit? thanks

maybe try hot water and mild soap. (simple green?) then a little blast with compressed air to clean/dry

isopropyl alcohol in a squirt bottle works great. Spray into the cracks, wait 30 seconds, then push the buttons a bunch of times. Spray a little more, wait, then wipe down with a towel.

that wont mess up the coating on the buttons, will it?

Same issue on mine. just fixed it two weeks ago with a little WD-40.

Using the stray, spray it around the top and side of the button. Wipe it off of the face with a dry cloth and let it sit for a minute or two.

Cycle the buttons in and out unitl the WD dissolves the sugars that are causing the buttons to stick.

Mine is working like a charm.

You will have a wd-40 smell,and since it doesn't dissipate it'll slowly collect more dirt, and it's not recommended, electronics cleaner is what you should use.
