anyone ever deal with a melted primary o2 sensor wire on the harness side.?..
Q is, i dont really want to splice in a section, has anyone ordered the pins to do it oem? if so any feedback?
i dont think the wires can be soldered for a splice because of the type of material the wire core is made out of...
i know the sensor is very very sensitive to connections/splices being 0.80v range etc
apparently my wire hit the manifold and is stiff in one section, any other ideas from people dealing with constant intermittent codes on one bank?
feed back would be great thanks guys
so you soldered one in fine huh hmm? i tried to solder a o2 sensor wire i had spliced for a universal sensor and it gave me hell "i have plenty of previous soldering experience btw lol"
shrugz.... i did buy a section of cut harness from the junk yard, was wondering if maybe i could put fresh pins in it possibly and tap it in the ecu plug/harness
maybe i need to invest in a adjustable temp iron and low temp solder?
Did you use lots of flux, tinning, and then full soldering? Low temp is good for the electrical connection since it has more lead. Maybe use some high temp silver solder?
i guess i can acquire a low temp iron and retry
no flux was used...
