Old TT cluster DIY fix (maybe)
Been having the infernal cluster problem with my 2000 TT. Complete power failure: speedo, tach, gauges, lights, all dead. I have been living with it for several months. Tried pulling the cluster, cleaning the contacts, etc, but the problem would fix then come back.
Read yesterday to try to pull fuse 11 and 15, so I yanked them out waited a few minutes, put them back in, and guess what......EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL!
I just had to wiggle fuse 11 with the engine running and it seems to fix it. I can't say how long it will last, but it is worth a try.
BTW: I have not been on this forum for several years. It became a habit when I first got the car in 2000. Don't recognize the new names.

About a a year and a half ago there was a migration to quattroworld ( it's the old format) when this forum went Vbulletin. You will recognize some names there if you look. Cool about the cluster fix. Hope it holds for you.

Partial fix
Well the fix is just temporary. The next day the cluster was dead, although wiggling the #11 fuse fixes it. This weekend I will try to remove the fuse holder and see if I can find any thing.
