How do I know if my TT has sport suspension or not?
Highly recomend Koni Sports with H&R Sport Springs.
You'll need camber correction at the rear (I used Gruven adjustable control arms) and I recomend it at front though it is ok without. ( I have SPC camber bushings there)

The kit was sold here (in the US) for awhile by Stratmosphere IIRC. For roughly the same money you can buy Koni/H&R (goes lower) or Bilstein/Eibach (not so low but more aggressively damped)

Do I go ahead and use the Monroes and see what happens, or send this stuff back and order something else? The other stuff people recommend is more than twice as expensive. This car is only getting lower in value every day, I hate to put $800 worth of struts and shocks on it and throw more money down the toilet, it's just a commuter for me.

hint: if you offer a swap for some stock springs in exchange for your Eibachs, somebody will jump on it in a heartbeat. You can put the car back together with the OEM shocks/stock springs and spend no money at all. It'll work well enough to commute in. Be sure and state quattro vs front track (the springs are different)

New Monroe sensatracs will be fine with the Eibachs.
FYI all cars depreciate, the TT is no different.

if you can find it, you'll prolly get a lot more help over on the "worthless POS" forum

Nice comment.
I just never intended to spend extra money on performance parts for this car. The TT's are not fast and I just bought it to be a nice comfortable reliable daily driver to commute in. I went ahead and ordered the bilstein sports for $725 and a half KMAC for $139, so I will have to pack the Monroes back up and ship them back. Overall $565 or so more than I intended to spend, but at least it will be done correctly. I hope this and replacing the rear diff solves the scary driving in the snow last year that I experienced. It felt like the rear end was about to throw me in the ditch constantly. I was experiencing what felt like a pop and a slip in the rear every great once in awhile when turning from stop sign, but I had no idea what it was and didn't seem to affect my normal driving and otherwise made no wierd noises. I thought it was just a nuance of the AWD or something, because it wasn't really harsh sounding and very rarely happened.
I also just replaced a bad inner tie rod, a leaking CV boot, the blown out diff, replaced all the tires and will replace the rear O2 sensor, and get an alignment. It should feel like a different car when I am done.
Here is my car to play with that I don't daily drive, in case your wondering why I feel like putting performance parts on my TT is a waste (for me)...
